When The Real McCoy Photography was interviewed on Gina Milicia’s Podcast

Almost immediately after being interviewed on Arizona’s local Fox News I was invited to be interviewed on Gina Milicia’s Podcast. Gina Milicia is a renowned photographer that has a lengthy and successful photography career. I was taken thrilled to be interviewed for her podcast mainly because I have been a long time listener and have learned so much from Gina and her co-host, Valerie Khoo.

During my interview we covered topics ranging from volunteering for your local rescue and even fostering animal short term just to give them a break from the excitement of the shelter situation. I was so honored to be given a voice on this special podcast, to this day people are still reaching out asking me how they can help their local rescue community as well as how they can take the best photos of their dogs.

Meet pet photographer Jason McCoy. His work is proof that it’s not the gear – it’s the photographer. His shots are beautiful. You’ll discover: how he started with an entry-level camera and kit lens + $250 lighting set up; how he reached out to rescue shelters and started shooting for them just three months after picking up a camera; how he prepares for a shoot; his lighting set up and lens choice. the techniques and tricks he uses to calm, pose, and direct dogs. a fantastic tip using google maps to scout and store locations and much more.
